General Rules of Conduct

1. Owners must adhere to the agreed drop-off and pick-up times.
2. Dogs must be kept on a leash upon arrival and departure from the facility.
3. Upon admission, the owner must disclose if the pet is under medical treatment.
4. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and deworming. A valid vaccination record must be presented at check-in and remain on-site for the duration of the stay.
5. Val de Paws reserves the right to refuse entry to any pet that:
- is not properly vaccinated,
- poses a danger to other animals or staff,
- has a medical or behavioral condition that is incompatible with a stay at our facility
6. If a dog displays aggressive or uncontrollable behavior, Val de Paws reserves the right to immediately remove the pet from group play or request early pickup. No refund will be issued.
7. Females in heat or full pregnancy are not accepted.
8. Dogs must be sociable with others. If unsure about your dog’s behavior, please contact us in advance.
9. A mandatory 1-2 day trial stay is required before accepting a longer booking.
10. The owner acknowledges the risks associated with boarding an elderly, ill, injured, or medicated pet. By entrusting their pet to Val de Paws, the owner accepts these risks and releases Val de Paws from liability for any health deterioration or fatality occurring during the stay.
11. In the event of illness or accident, veterinary care will be provided by our designated veterinarian, who is authorized to make necessary medical decisions. All costs will be borne by the owner.
12. Owners must provide clear instructions on feeding schedules, portion sizes, and dietary restrictions.
13. All pets must be on an active flea and tick prevention plan before arriving at the facility. If fleas or ticks are detected, Val de Paws will administer treatment at the owner’s expense.
14. Personal belongings (e.g., toys, blankets) may be brought for the pet’s comfort, but Val de Paws is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
15. Pets will only be released to the registered owner, unless a written authorization designates a third party for pickup.
16. Owners must provide an emergency contact who can make decisions on their behalf if they cannot be reached.
17. If the pet is not collected within the agreed timeframe, Val de Paws reserves the right to hand over the pet to the Neuchâteloise Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA Neuchâteloise). Boarding fees remain due in full.
18. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival or in case of a no-show will be charged 100% of the total stay.

Pricing and Payment Policy

1. All prices apply within a 10 km radius from Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane in Val-de-Ruz; beyond that, services are not offered.
2. All payments must be made in advance; once the reservation is confirmed, payment is mandatory.
3. Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled arrival are free of charge; beyond that, the service will be fully invoiced.
4. Check-ins or check-outs outside of working hours will incur an additional CHF 15 per 30-minute period.
5. After 7:00 p.m., daycare fees will no longer apply, and overnight boarding charges will be required.
6. No refunds will be issued for early pickup.
